Let's talk about the pandemic

The covid-19 pandemic has brought many problems to the people, among them are:

  1. Increase in unemployment  and impoverishment of the Chilean  population.
  2. Increase in cases of gender violence, domestic violence demands and femicides.
  3. Closure of educational and care centers such as universities, schools, kindergartens, nursery centers, among others.
  4. Increase in the price of food, basic necessities products and services.
  5. High human infection and high number of fatalities.
On the other hand, another consequence of the pandemic is the changes that people were forced to go through. Some of these changes are:

  1. Change from presential modality to online modality for the classes.
  2. Closure of stores and restaurants. People should preferably shop online.
  3. Prohibition of social gatherings of any kind.

Finally, if we visualize a future after the pandemic, hopefully a near future, I personally believe that social gatherings will return, stores and restaurants will open, all abruptly, I think it based on how people have behaved during the pandemic and when they are allowed to go out without permits. Now, if we talk about a more distant future I hope that a correct president will be in charge, who is not for ambition but to really help people (is it too utopian? maybe, but I really hope so), I also expect that corrupt politicians will pay for their crimes. Besides, I hope that the health and the education systems will improve, and that people will take care of their health and be more empathic. Finally, I hope that the AFP system is eliminated and replaced by one that truly provides a dignified old age.

  3. Very good work. In the first lane you should write: has brought many problems to the people among them are....; then in the last paragraph the adjective is not empathetic it's empathic.
